Quelques croquis au Marché

Il fait très chaud et humide à Montréal depuis quelques jours. 

Et je pense à tous ces pauvres "Urban Sketchers" qui affrontent en ce moment l'inconfort des chaleurs torrides et d'une humidité intense à Singapour dans le cadre du 6ème Symposium international des Urban Sketchers. Non seulement leur corps doit s'adapter à la température mais, en plus, les sketchers doivent modifier leur technique en fonction du délai interminable de séchage du papier aquarelle.

Dimanche, avec une amie, j'ai fait un marathon croquis au Marché Jean-Talon. Pour simplifier mon matériel, j'avais choisi un carnet accordéon fabriqué l'été dernier, ma plume Hero M86 (plume à la pointe courbée) et ma mini palette d'aquarelle.

Au final, j'ai simplement croqué avec ma plume les différents étals débordant de légumes qui ont attiré mon regard. Une fois à la maison, j'ai mis en couleur mes croquis en exagérant peut-être un peu trop! 

J'espère que nous retournerons bientôt au marché croquer les belles récoltes car il faut en profiter de cet été qui passe tellement vite!

  2. Oh, I really enjoyed today's post. Hope those sketchers stay hydrated and healthy at the symposium. That is probably the trip of a lifetime for many of them!

    I have an accordion sketchbook, too, and I am planning on using it - maybe with that awesome pen you linked to! Oh, maybe not. An eraser is my best friend.

      I envy the sketchers participating in the Singapour Symposium! Not for the weather ;-) but for all the incredible people, opportunities and talents they will encounter..
      Drawing with a pen helps me to draw fast and without fear!
